Stalking chamois in the shadow of the Grossglockner is undoubtedly one of the most demanding and, at the same time, most primal forms of hunting. Up here, it's not just the rifle that matters: Physical fitness, sure-footedness, experience in mountain hiking, and the willingness to adapt to changing weather conditions are all essential. Chamois move confidently in steep, rocky terrain \u2013 and that's precisely what makes stalking a hunting experience you won't soon forget.<\/p>\n
Our hunting area lies at the end of the Upper M\u00f6ll Valley in the Gro\u00dfglockner region, in the heart of the Hohe Tauern mountain range. Three select hunting grounds are available for chamois stalking, ranging in altitude from approximately 1,800 to 2,600 meters \u2013 from the tree line across high alpine pastures and into the rocky regions.<\/p>\n
And after the hunt? Not an anonymous hunting hotel, but our cozy alpine chalet Goldbergleiten for your exclusive use at 1,300 meters \u2013 with three bedrooms, breathtaking mountain views, comfortable furnishings, and half-board. Family or friends can accompany you and enjoy the mountain scenery while you're out chamois hunting. The crowning finale is a hunting gala dinner with the traditional "drinking to the death" of the chamois.<\/p>\n
What's important to us is a hunt based on integrity and trust: no CIC point counting and no hidden costs. Hunting is carried out strictly within the framework of the Carinthian annual hunting plan and in coordination with the region's wildlife management. Our professional hunter and his experienced mountain bloodhound will also be at your side during any tracking operations.<\/p>\n
