The best places for hunting the famous Siberian roe deer (Capreolus Capreolus pygargus) are certainly the Kurgan and Chelyabinsk regions. For several decades we have been organising successful hunting these graceful animals during the rut.
\nMost of the trophies recorded in the SCI record book are from this region!
\nCompared with European roe deers, Siberians are much larger, reach a height at the withers up to 100 cm, have a body length up to 150 cm and weigh from 40 to 45 kg. “Siberians” have more massive and long horns than their European relatives. The length of the horns of large trophy males approaching 40 cm.
\nEarly in the morning (before dawn) and in the evening (shortly before sunset), hunters, accompanied by experienced outfitters, drive to the grounds to search for trophy males of Siberian roe deer. After spotting a large male, the hunter begins to approach on foot at a distance of a confident shot. He must be extremely careful and attentive when approaching the animal, as the Siberian Roe deer is very sensitive and timid. For the same reason, the hunter must be ready to make an accurate shot at the goat from a distance of more than 100 meters (up to 300 meters). It is also possible to hunt it from ambush.
