A mighty deer, similar to the American wapiti. With live weights of up to 400 kg and a withers of 155 cm, it is a true giant of the mountains. The weight of its antlers is beyond belief. 14 kg, 15 kg, even up to 20 kg have been documented and reflect the strength of this species. We are particularly proud
that in the 2011 season the second strongest Maral in the world rankings with 426 SCI was killed by one of our guests.
The rut falls in the month of September and represents for the Kazakh
It is a natural spectacle without equal when the whistling of the marals echoes from the slopes of the Alatau. The call hunt for the maral is one of the most fascinating types of hunting that a deer hunter can still enjoy today.
The Siberian ibex, a true king of the mountains, is found in the same hunting area. It is unbelievable what climbing skills ibex are capable of. You have to experience and see a herd on the steep wall yourself; it is hard to describe. Ibexes can weigh up to 130 kg, while females weigh around 30 percent less. Both sexes have horns, although the females only have short, barely curved horns. The horns of the Siberian ibex are impressive. The ibex is fully grown at 7 to 8 years of age and can be hunted from this age.
A hose length of 110 cm or more is considered a good ibex, and when the length approaches 125 cm, you can safely speak of a capital ibex.
But Kazakhstan is not the number 1 Capricorn country for nothing.
Our guests' dream trophies were: 130 cm, 132 cm, 135 cm, 136 cm, 139 cm and the top trophy measured 143 cm. However, the trophies only look impressive when they have a wide base circumference and – what's more – with many, pronounced
decorative beads.
We can only advise every hunter to hunt this magnificent game in one of the most beautiful mountains in the world.
By the way, no other country offers ibex hunting at such a low price. While the few licenses for the Alpine ibex can only be purchased for a horrendous sum, the Nubian and Sindh ibex are almost unaffordable,
The hunter can also get his desired trophy here with a ‘normal wallet’.
We are undisputedly the largest agent for ibex and maral hunts in this interesting hunting country.
Precisely because it is the best area in the world, we have secured the exclusive rights. We have invested a lot of time and money, trained professional hunters, equipped camps and looked after riding horses and off-road vehicles. We have the best hunting areas in the Dzungarian Alatau under contract. With us, you are really hunting with the market leader for hunting in Kazakhstan.
About the itinerary:
After your flight (7h from Germany) you will land in Almaty and thus in another world. What does time mean there? What is hectic and stress? Forget our ideas of minute-by-minute planning! Just let yourself be
and you will be surprised how, despite a lot of discussion, of which we do not understand a word, weapons and customs formalities run smoothly
We then continue by car towards the Dzungarian Alatau.
In the afternoon you will be in the main camp and can acclimatize. The base camps in Kazakhstan have been well and professionally equipped by us and our partner KOLYASU International. In the base camp, with
There are several solidly built log cabins overlooking a picturesque lake deep down in the valley. There are common rooms where meals are shared
There is a sauna and toilet, electricity is generated by generators. Cooks will take care of your physical well-being.
During the hunt, the guides will provide you with game, potatoes, soups, pasta and canned goods.
A warm sleeping bag with a comfort range of up to -10 °C and an insulating mat are indispensable. In the high mountains at an altitude of over 2,500 m
It can be quite cold in both winter and summer, so hunters should take warm clothes with them. In autumn it can rain more often, so rainwear should also be included in your luggage.
On the first day of hunting, you have to get up early. Your guides are ready. Horses are saddled and packed. You leave the camp and head out into
the actual hunting area. The tents are then set up near the maral habitats. From now on you can rely on the experience and skills of your Kazakh guide. You will not be disappointed because, despite good training, the local professional hunters are paid on a success basis. In normal weather conditions, you will see marals almost every day.
These are high mountain hunts that could place high demands on you. Your fitness is a prerequisite for hunting success, because the rutting grounds of the strong
Marals are often found in impassable terrain and approaching them requires a few drops of sweat. You will spend most of the hunt on horseback. If you
If you are not a rider, this should not put you off, because after a short period of getting used to it, you will usually be sitting firmly in the saddle. It is particularly important to practice shooting at a longer distance before you start your journey.
Marals are, as already described, huge stags, but they are very hardy when shot, especially during the rutting season. The maral trophy is too valuable, the hunt too strenuous and it is too annoying if after the hunt only a wounded maral is recorded in the hunting log.
Details:
Combination hunting for maral and ibex
14 travel days with approx. 10 hunting days, reception at the airport in Almaty, assistance with customs, immigration and weapons formalities,
Transfer to the hunting area and back, accommodation and meals during the hunt, all transport in the hunting area
(horses, jeeps), hunting guide, camp staff and interpreter, field preparation of trophies
per hunter at a price of € 8,900.00
Maral hunting fees
up to 12 kg € 5,670.00
12.01 – 13 kg € 6,320.00
13.01 – 14 kg € 6,770.00
14.01 – 15 kg € 7,850.00
15.01 – 16 kg € 8,900.00
16.01 – 17 kg € 10,970.00
17.01 – 18 kg € 13,630.00
over 18 kg € 16,870.00
hunting fees for ibex
up to 115 cm € 3,990.00
115.01 – 120 cm € 4,690.00
120.01 – 125 cm € 5,190.00
125.01 – 130 cm € 5,690.00
130.01 – 135 cm € 6,190.00
over 135 cm € 6,720.00
additional kills:
Second Maral € 9,900.00
Wild boar up to 20 cm € 2,200.00
Wild boar over 20 cm € 2,400.00
Wolf € 2,200.00
Cites Wolf € 300.00
If you do not want to hunt the ibex and only want to hunt a maral deer, I recommend our offer: "Hunting for maral deer in Kazakhstan"

Combination hunting for maral and ibex Alongside the Karaganda argali and the Siberian ibex, the maral (cervus elaphus songaricus) is one of Kazakhstan's symbols.
