\nScotland is the epitome of sporting and challenging hunting for the mountain deer in this fascinating hunting country. No other country in Europe boasts such a high game density. The current population is estimated at over 300,000.
\nAnyone who has hunted in the Highlands will always be drawn back to this magnificent landscape with its abundance of red and sika deer. In Scotland, hunting isn't done for the trophy; here, hunting is still hunting. You have to stalk, watch the wind, and sometimes approach your chosen stag at the lowest possible pace. All this, combined with Scottish hospitality and the amiable stalkers, makes these hunts so worthwhile.
\nHunting is prohibited in Scotland on Sundays. Therefore, most of our guests arrive on that day and begin hunting on Monday morning. Red deer can be hunted from July 1 to October 20.
\nBy mid-September, the stags\u2014at least the older ones\u2014have completely molted away. The rut takes place in the first half of October, and witnessing the bellowing of red deer in the Highlands is a truly unique natural event. A British import permit is required for entry with firearms.
