So far, so good, but those without a practical hunting instructor are usually quickly brought back down to earth by reality -> You're out hunting, the game is in front of you, and you're wondering if it's a good shot or not?
\nEveryone has experienced the significant difference between theory and practice. And it's exactly the same with hunting. The smallest clues can be crucial in determining whether you bag the right animal or the wrong one.<\/p>\n
We offer you the opportunity to gain your first practical hunting experience in a relaxed atmosphere, accompanied by an experienced hunter. We cater to each participant individually and tailor the program to their needs and wishes. A gentle introduction to the various topics is just as important to us as a friendly atmosphere.<\/p>\n

Both packages include a trial shot from a raised hunting stand in a simulated hunting situation, applied knowledge of the local game reserve, practical wildlife ecology, and hunting traditions. We will also endeavor to find you a suitable game animal. Included are yearling bucks, young does, fawns, predators\/vermin, and possibly small game, depending on hunting season.
\nThe focus is on expanding your knowledge. With a bit of luck, you might even get your (first?) kill. Therefore, there's no guarantee of a kill! However, experience shows that the success rate is around 90%.<\/p>\n
The test shot from the high seat:
\nShooting ranges are great \u2013 always a good rest and a solid support for your arm. Hunting, however, often presents a completely different situation. Since game can appear anywhere, it's crucial to know how to set up a good rest. During the practice shot from a high seat, we'll address this situation in detail and show you the tips and tricks to ensure your shots are always accurate. Additionally, you can also try shooting from the ground, using a support against a stick.<\/p>\n
Applied territorial knowledge:
\nHow do I build a hunting blind or a game feeding station? How do I create a stalking trail? What contributes to habitat improvement? Daily life in the hunting area is characterized by a wide variety of activities that go far beyond shooting. We cater entirely to your wishes and, for example, build a hunting blind together (3-day package). We can provide you with many practical tips that will be very useful to you later on.<\/p>\n
Practical Wildlife Ecology:
\nEven the most experienced hunter constantly encounters new things. Every hunt is different, and there's always much to see and hear. During our shared hunts and stalks, we use the time to explain everything that comes into view \u2013 identifying game, bird calls, droppings, and tracks, and much more.
\nIf Diana is kind to you and you've managed to bag your first game, it's time to gut and prepare it. Of course, you can also take your first game home with you at the usual venison price. In that case, we'll butcher it together right away.<\/p>\n
Hunting traditions:
\nHunting traditions are highly valued, especially in some Central European countries. Austria has a long tradition in this regard. One could speak of unwritten laws that hunters have imposed upon themselves, both in practical and ethical terms. These customs are governed by precise rules and have proven to be an unintended stumbling block for many a novice hunter. Key aspects of these customs include hunting terminology, ethical hunting practices, laying out the game, and the investiture of a hunter, etc. <\/p>\n
Here's how it works:
\nArrival is normally planned for the afternoon. Depending on the time of year, this may be slightly earlier or later (approx. 3:00 PM \u2013 6:00 PM). After the welcome, we will drive to the hunting area to test the rifle and take some test shots in a simulated hunting situation. Afterwards, we will go to our hunting stand.
\nAfter an early morning stalk (sometimes an extended one) the following morning, you'll begin your journey home (short trip) or have some time to rest. With the weekend package, we'll start building a hunting stand together no later than the afternoon. In the evening, we'll head back to the stand. The same routine will be repeated the following morning. Then it's departure time.<\/p>\n
The accommodation:
\nThe hunter is responsible for their own accommodation costs. There are several options available in the area. Prices range from \u20ac40 to \u20ac100 per night. We are happy to assist you in finding and booking a room.<\/p>\n
The territory:
\nThe hunting area lies at an altitude of approximately 500 meters in the heart of the beautiful M\u00fchlviertel region. The landscape is hilly and, with its mix of meadows, fields, and forests (one-third each), provides ideal habitat for roe deer. Other game species found in the area include brown hare, pheasant, duck, fox, badger, marten, woodcock, and wood pigeon. Depending on the season, we may also hunt these species. <\/p>\n
Best time of year:
