Are you the proud owner of a hunting card or a hunting license and full of enthusiasm? In the course you have acquired a whole lot of knowledge about game, forests and how to handle a weapon? So far so good, but if you don't have a practical teacher for hunting, reality usually catches up with you very quickly -> You are hunting, the animal is in front of you and you are wondering whether it is right or not?
\nEveryone has experienced that there can be a significant difference between theory and practice. And it is exactly the same with hunting. The smallest clues can be decisive as to whether you shoot the right animal or whether it was the wrong one after all.<\/p>\n
We offer you the opportunity to gain your first practical hunting experience in a relaxed atmosphere accompanied by an experienced hunter. We approach each participant individually and adapt the program to their needs and wishes. A careful introduction to the different subject areas is just as natural for us as a friendly atmosphere.<\/p>\n

Both packages include a test shot from a raised hide in a simulated hunting situation, applied hunting knowledge, practical game ecology and hunting traditions. We will also endeavour to bring you a suitable piece of game. This includes yearling bucks, young boars, fawns, predators and possibly small game, of course depending on the shooting times.
\nThe focus is on expanding your knowledge. With a bit of luck, you will even get your (first?) kill. There is therefore no guarantee of a kill!! Experience has shown that the probability of success is around 90%.<\/p>\n
The test shot from the high seat:
\nShooting ranges are great – always a good rest and a board for your arm. When hunting, you often find yourself in a completely different situation. Since game can come from anywhere, it is extremely important to know how to set up a good rest. When you test shot from a raised hide, we will look at this situation in detail and show you tips and tricks to ensure that the shot is always right. You can also try a shot lying on the ground and marked on the mountain stick.<\/p>\n
Applied Territorial Science:
\nHow do I build a raised hide or a game feeder? How do you create a stalking trail? What helps improve the habitat? Everyday life in the hunting area is characterized by a wide variety of activities that go far beyond shooting. We will take your wishes into account and, for example, build a raised hide together (3-day package). We can give you lots of practical tips that will be very useful to you later on.<\/p>\n
Practical Wildlife Ecology:
\nEven the most experienced hunter will always experience things that are new to him\/her. Every hunt is different and there is always a lot to see\/hear. When we sit and stalk together, we use the time to explain everything that comes into view – how to approach the game, bird calls, how to recognize droppings and tracks, and much more.
\nIf Diana is kind to you and you have killed your first animal, it's time to butcher and care for the game. Of course, you can also take your first animal with you for the usual price of game meat. In this case, we will butcher the animal together.<\/p>\n
Hunting customs:
\nHunting customs are particularly important in some Central European countries. There is a long tradition of this in Austria. One could speak of unwritten laws that hunters have imposed on themselves in both practical and ethnic terms. These customs are subject to precise rules and have become an unintentional stumbling block for many a young hunter. Important aspects of these customs are hunting language, hunting ethics, laying the trail, hitting the hunter, etc. <\/p>\n
About the process:
\nArrival is normally planned for the afternoon. Depending on the time of year, this can be a little earlier or later (approx. 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.). After the welcome, we drive to the hunting area to test the weapon and take a few test shots in a simulated hunting situation. Afterwards, we go to the hide.
\nAfter an (sometimes extensive) early morning stalking the next morning, you start your journey home (short trip) or you have time to rest a bit. With the weekend package, we start building a hunting area together in the afternoon at the latest. In the evening, we go back to the hide. The same thing happens the following morning. Then it's time to leave.<\/p>\n
The accommodation:
\nThe hunter is responsible for paying for accommodation at cost. There are a number of options in the area. Prices range from 40 to 100 euros per night. We would be happy to help you find\/book a room.<\/p>\n
The area:
\nThe area is located at about 500m above sea level and in the middle of the beautiful M\u00fchlviertel. The landscape is hilly and, due to the 1\/3 meadows, 1\/3 fields and 1\/3 forest, is an ideal habitat for deer. Other game species that occur here include hares, pheasants, ducks, foxes, badgers, martens, woodcocks and wild pigeons. Depending on the season, we can also hunt these game species.<\/p>\n
Best time of year:
\nThe best dates are always at the beginning of the shooting season, i.e. at the beginning of May for yearling bucks and young boars and from September for the autumn roe deer, i.e. dors and fawns.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
