A spring hunting season is added for Canada geese, which takes place on Ontario territory, near Toronto. <\/p>\n
The package price includes 3 days: 5 Hunts and 3 nights lodging<\/p>\n
This extended season was introduced to target resident geese in urban areas between February 25th and March 4th where it is allowed to harvest 10 birds \/ day \/ person. <\/p>\n
The hunting dynamics in this case are completely different from what we are familiar during the migration. We hunt local birds living on the outskirts of the city that have a lower feeding needs. For these reasons, the duration of a hunt is a full day, starting at dawn and ending at sunset.<\/p>\n
At the beginning of the season, we start to hunt the northern limit of the agricultural lands of the province, wich is the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean area where we obtain fresh birds that have not yet been subjected to pressure, which allows us to provide the best quality hunts in Eastern Canada. We follow the migration from the north to the south of the province until the end of December. We also have an extended goose hunting season, lasting 7 days during the last week of February in the Toronto area.
