We are a hunting company that organizes hunts in the Czech Republic on our own hunting grounds and ponds. Our company also offers hunting abroad and we are also the owners of a pheasantry and a hunting shop with weapons and hunting clothing. Over the years we have developed two hunting grounds with a total area of 2,500 hectares and ten water areas of various sizes and shapes with professional hunting support. We have over 25 years of experience in hunting small game and big game.
\nThe wild turkey is one of the largest species of our game birds. We are one of the first hunting associations in Europe to introduce wild turkeys, which were imported from America a few years ago, into our own hunting grounds. This hunting of wild turkeys in the Czech Republic has become an insider tip and is becoming increasingly popular. Strong trophy turkeys are hunted in our hunting grounds every year.

Where
\nThe wild turkey hunt is organized in the hunting area near Kakov. The area is located on the edge of the nature reserve on the Planice ridge, about 40 km from Pilsen near Nepomuk, 50 km from the border with Germany and 120 km from Prague International Airport.<\/p>\n
hunting process and hunting program
\nMeeting in the morning at a previously agreed location with an employee of PROLOV sr. Before the hunt begins, final formalities such as hunting licenses, firearms permits, insurance, etc. are clarified and completed.
\nThe hunting guide is at your disposal throughout the hunt and will inform you about the hunting opportunities in the respective hunting areas and the designated places. The hunt is divided into morning and afternoon stalking. The morning hunt begins an hour before dawn. After agreement and if the hunt is successful, it ends in the morning. The second hunt begins about 2-3 hours before dusk. Other hunting days are repeated in the same way. You can use your free time to visit the historic town of Klatovy and other places in the area (agritourism, wellness and more). <\/p>\n
hunting method
\nHunting for wild turkey is carried out in several ways:<\/p>\n
1) Stand hunting – the most popular type is stand hunting.<\/p>\n
2) Stalking – is another very common type of hunting. The hunter moves quietly and carefully through the hunting area. He tries to get closer to the game and then hunt it. This requires the greatest experience of game habits, tracking, etc.<\/p>\n
3) Decoy hunting \u2013 is another way to hunt wild turkeys during the mating season. Here, attempts are made to lure the game with various decoy calls.<\/p>\n
4) Decoy with call – an unusual but effective and interesting way of hunting. The decoy is used while stalking or sitting in a hide. The turkeys are attracted by the call, thinking that they are facing a supposed rival. <\/p>\n

Recommended weapon
\nThe trophy includes: butt, head, breast with feather and the wings. Recommended weapon: The ideal weapon for turkey hunting is a small-bore rifle or shotgun. We recommend calibers (243 Win., 5.6×57, 5.6×50 Mag., 223 Rem., 222 Rem., 22 Hornet). You can also use 22LR with better ammunition (CCI Stinger 22LR or Velocitor 22LR). It is also possible to use a shotgun with a larger shot size of over 5 mm. If you wish, we can provide you with a suitable weapon for hunting for a fee. If you need some things on site for the hunt, you can buy them in our hunting shop.<\/p>\n

Recommended hunting clothing
\nWe recommend hunting clothing appropriate for the weather, sturdy and possibly warm shoes, possibly a change of clothes, a bag, accessories and binoculars, and a hunting stick.
\nlocation
\nThe hunting area \u201cKakov\u201d is located at an altitude of 483 meters and has an area of 1,276 hectares. It is a rugged, mixed terrain, a mixture of hills, cornfields and forests. The wild turkey hunt takes place on an area of over 300 hectares.

\nIt is an Old Bohemian restaurant with a fireplace, wellness and newly renovated rooms. A fully fenced parking lot is available to guests. With its location and comfort, it offers you a stay in a natural environment, untouched by the hustle and bustle of the contemporary lifestyle. <\/p>\n
Other activities include a relaxation center. Dogs are welcome here.

hunting conditions
