Die Landschaft der Alpen von Neuseeland bietet unvergessliche Eindrücke, ganz besonders zur Zeit der Hirschbrunft zwischen März und April, aus allen Tälern dringt das Röhren der Hirsche. Neuseeland ist das Land der stärksten Rothirsche der Welt. Im Jahr 2013 wurde bei unserm Partner der inoffizielle Weltrekordhirsch mit 24,7 kg und 2 Jahre davor der damalige Rekord von 24 kg erlegt. Das sind aber auch in Neuseeland Ausnahmetrophäen. Hirsche mit 12 bis 17 kg werden jedes Jahr zur Strecke gebracht. Die körperlich stärkeren Wapiti haben mächtige Auslagen, sind aber nicht so endenfreudig.
Beide Hirscharten können zur gleichen Zeit bejagt werden. Zusätzliche Abschussmöglichkeiten gibt es auf Damhirsch, Wild Ram und Alpine Goat. Auf der West- und Ostküste kann Thar und Gams von März bis September bejagt werden. Die Jagdzeit für Rothirsch, Wapiti und Damhirsch ist von Mitte Februar bis Mitte August. Untergebracht sind die Jäger in einer wunderschönen Lodge, wo man mit Weinen und kulinarischen Speisen hervorragend verwöhnt wird.

On the west and east coast Thar and Gams can be hunted from March to September. The hunting season for Rothirsch, Wapiti and Damhirsch is from mid-February to mid-August. The hunters are housed in a beautiful lodge, where you will be spoiled with wines and culinary delights.
