Beim Europäischen Wisent handelt es sich um die größte Wildart unter den Wiederkäuern in Bulgarien. Das ist keine Ressourcenart. Zurzeit ist nur in einem Jagdrevier eine Population von mehreren Dutzend Stück erhalten. Die Jagd erfolg nach dem Quotenprinzip im Jagdrevier "Voden - Irihisar" im nordzentralen staatlichen Unternehmen.
Für männliche Wisente ist eine ganzjährige Bejagung möglich.
Es gibt nur eine limitierte Anzahl an Lizenzen pro Jahr.

For male bisons a year-long hunt is possible.
There are only a limited number of licenses per year.
