The hunting areas - free range measures approximately 3000 hectares with an altitude of between 430 and 470 metres above sea level. 70% of the grounds are covered by forest and the rest by meadows and cultivated fields. The forest is mainly spruce. The terrain is slightly undulating. The estimated population of mouflon is about 400 and of roe deer about 200. There is also a small population of red and fallow deer. The quality of mouflon ram trophies is very good and every year gold rams with trophies up to 230 points CIC Points are hunted. This is not common in many other areas of the Czech Republic, although the country's mouflon population is truly excellent in many areas.

The resort is located in the middle of nature between the town of Trutnov and the Giant Mountains National Park. The ski resort of Černá Hora-Janské Lázně can be reached in 10 minutes by car.
