The hunting season runs mid-August to end of october. In the early season goats are more accessible (weather) but the later season goats have more luxurious (longer and thicker) coats.
The goats are hunted in the higher mountains, so you need a lot of endurance and fittness, which makes that to a very special kind of hunt. All hunts are by way of backpack.
During the hunt you normally live in rustical cabin or tent camps, which lay next to rivers and are not far away from the good hunting spots. You´ll be guided by a professional hunter, who is an expert in this territory.
Your trip will begin out of Whitehorse YT Canada.
Ground transportation to and from the hunting area, licences and species tags for selected hunts are included as well as all meals, skinning, caping, and meat care.
The hunter preservation fund, governmental royalities and taxes and the hunting license are included as well.
It is possible to take a non hunting accompanion with you. Costs are 450 $ per hunting day.
If you are not able to bring your own gun, for 550 $ iin total it is possbile to borrow a proffesional gun with ammunition included.

It is considered to contain one of the most magnificent river Systems on earth and forms the basis of the park that bears its name. Tatshenshini-Alsek Park contains nearly one million hectares of glacier- cloaked peaks, wild rivers, grizzly bears and abundant game populations. Situated in the very northwest corner of British Columbia, it nestles between Kluane National Park, Reserves in the Yukon as well as Glacier Bay & Wrangell-St. Elias National Parks and Preserves in Alaska. Combined, these parks comprise the largest protected area in the world, approximately 8.5 million hectares. With our limited number of hunters each year we are assured pristine wilderness and trophy qualities!
