Approximately 30 thousand ducks are released on the ponds in the spring. Driven duck shooting days are carefully run by qualified staff with the help of appropriate number of loaders, beaters and high pedigree dogs. Hunters are transported by small boats to pontoons placed in different areas of the ponds. High-flying ducks are mainly shot from the pontoons, rarely from bank of ponds. Duck shoots are usually arranged for groups of 8 to 25 guns with 2-3 shooting days. 1500 - 2000 ducks are a common bag. The organisation is in line with old hunting traditions and includes a hunting ceremony at the beginning and end of the shooting days. All this in the presence of experienced hunting horn players.
