This is not just a hunt to take pictures, it is 100% conservation and protection driven.
By doing this we collect much needed date from each and every animal we dart.
The funds goes back into the protection of these magnificent animals.
Your contribution will help with funding of "Data collection" "Anti poaching" "Feed when necessary" as well a a "costly electric bill" to power the fence that surrounds these animals.

Each animal is threated, numbered and microchipped. The data collected from the animals are sent to the "SA data base" for further processing and filing"

What it is

Instead of shooting the animal, the rhino is immobilized with a tranquilizer dart fired by a licensed professional (usually from a vehicle or helicopter). Once the rhino is safely sedated, a veterinary and conservation team carries out essential work.

What happens during the darting

Typical conservation actions include:
- Health checks and measurements
- Ear notching or microchipping for identification
- Fitting GPS or radio tracking devices
- Anti-poaching procedures (e.g. horn trimming)
- Collecting blood and DNA samples
- After the work is completed, the rhino is reversed with antidote medication and wakes up naturally, unharmed.

Why it’s called a “hunt”
The term comes from the tracking and pursuit aspect:
- Locating a specific rhino in vast terrain
